I know you're all waiting for info... so am I. When I have something, you'll know first.
MINI-UPDATE: I still believe Oguchi Onyewu is on the move as we speak, I'm still digging on this one.
There has been some talk of a Jonathan Spector loan move to noted Championship side Nottingham Forest, but I've been unable thus far to pin down his agent so far. Frankly, I'm not buying it.
Unfortunately, Heath Pearce's summer options appear closed. Moves that needed to happen for him to benefit still have not and we have less than three hours on the continent until the deadline. Looks like January for HP, let's hope his Hansa boss remembers he has a player on the bench.
No word on Kamani Hill, but I also believe he could still move soon.
No word on Marvell Wynne or Sacha Kljestan, but those really never looked like happening now.
UPDATE UPDATE: It seems Gooch is staying with Standard, who apparently opted not to sell. Needless to say, I'm quite surprised. I will try to come up with a more complete story when I can.
You can also look for a column on the silly season as a whole soon at Soccer365, plus I will drop at least two Top 5 Lists on the topic in the coming days.
QUASI-FINAL UPDATE: The deadline has passed, with apparently no Americans moving on deadline day - a real punch in the mouth considering how many guys were in play this week. Since there are always a few paperwork stragglers announced a bit late, it's vaguely possible we still get one more transfer to kick around... but I'm not holding my breath any longer. I will, however, add any late movers worth mentioning to the list below.
FINAL FINAL UPDATE: By the way, I've heard that Michael Bradley's price was around €2.5 million (from all over) and also more like €3.5-4 million (from Germany and the Netherlands), which leads me to believe this was a fee plus possible future considerations deal. Also to be considered in the fee amount is the fact that Heerenveen very often accept a sell-on cut as part of agreements on transfers out. Needless to say, I'm not going to rate this transaction on a straight up-front cash basis until I learn otherwise.

any news?
Do you at least know what city gooch is in, that would tell us where he might end up.
Nope, not yet.
That's a shame. I was hoping Pearce would get out the 2nd Division. Is there still any slight chance that he might?
As for Gooch, the clock is ticking....
And Spector to a CCC team? Even if it is just a rumor, ouch!
The Spector news would have been shocking, considering that Curbishley needs defenders on the squad. He also appears to like Spector quite a bit.
Then again, if Curbs is on the hot seat, who knows what could happen.
It's tough to see Gooch not move, but he'll do well for them in the UEFA Cup.
Umm...wow, Manchester City gets sold overnight and comes out swinging. They've bought Robinho from Madrid for somewhere around 35mil.
Yeah, and that wasn't the only big trigger Citeh tried to pull yesterday!
I believe the fee was an English record of 32.5 million GBP.
And yeah, I also was highly skeptical of the Spector talk... at least my Spidey Sense got something right yesterday! :D
