A few things...

I'm sleepy, so let's not dillydally...

#1 - The weekend Americans Abroad goal roundup won't take long this time around, but at least somebody broke the drought.
  • For the second straight Danish Cup match, Randers FC attacker Lee Nguyen lit the lamp. Check out his opportunistic marker here.
A pair of homies in Norway's second fight picked up assists: Nybergsund's Joe Lapira and Haugesund's Cameron Weaver.

#2 - I hope this isn't a no-no, but then again, I'm not sure why anyone would care. I turned in my 2008 Honda Player of the Year ballot last week, and here's how I voted:

1) Tim Howard
2) Oguchi Onyewu
3) Carlos Bocanegra

#3 - I am working on a new Top 5 List to slam rules and regulations around the soccer globe that I hate hate hate hate hate. I just need to come up with one more real bile inducer to complete the quintet.

Sooner or later, I also expect to be able to at least add the Serie A Goal of the Week candidates to the previous post.

#4 - If you find yourself wondering how Charlie Davies has turned it on at Hammarby this season, Soccernet ace Ravu Ubha has your answers right here.

#5 - In case you missed Friday's afternoon announcement (isn't that a Karl Rove maneuver?), the UEFA Cup will be reformulated and re-dubbed the Europa league for next fall. Check the specifics here.

#6 - Finally moved from ussoccer.com's tauntingly tiny video player to the official YouTube channel, here is a two-part video look at the USMNT's recent trip to Cuba.
