A few things...

As we head into a FIFA international weekend, let's rip off a few quick notes...

#1 - Don't miss today's Cut of the Day, which is the best version of that song I've ever heard. Billy only misses 2-3 notes... and I'm not sure he can match that on a studio record.

#2 - Congrats to Real Salt Lake and their fans for christening their deluxe new Rio Tinto Stadium last night. If you couldn't make it to Utah for the match, don't worry - the Salt Lake Tribune was kind enough to "take us all" to the game.

And I gotta say, RSL: LOVE the red carpet entrance for the fans. Niiiiice touch.

#3 - A Lifetime Achievement Stand-Up guy statue goes out to Du Nord's King Bruce for his act of contrition on the top of Thursday's post. Heaven help me, I love a dude that calls himself out when it's proper.

#4 - Yes, the Top 5 List is coming today... no worries.

#5 - Steven Goff has been da man at USMNT camp this week. But today, instead of going with one of the bigger names, I offer his chat with former D.C. United keeper Troy Perkins.

#6 - Finally, let's peek in on the 'Nats as they prepare for Cuba's annual defection visit.
