As was the case this year, the U.S. Men's National Team will open their 2009 slate with a Home Depot Center visit from Sweden on January 24th.
Although the visitors will almost certainly arrive again with a less then full strength roster, coach Bob Bradley will be using this match to prepare for the start of final round CONCACAF World Cup qualifying, which begins February 11th.
The hexagonal draw will be held tomorrow, and I will post the schedule when it becomes known.
Side note: I will also have a big MLS Cup edition of "A few things..." in the morning. I'd do it now, but I really need to do my Dutch homework... yes, I'm a student again and I have homework to do on Friday night. Shut up.

Are you hearing anything on the Cooper-to-Europe front? Sounds like he's stalling in signing a new deal and MLS might look to offload him in January.
I am hearing a few things, most of which have been out there in the media or I mentioned today.
Yeah, I'd assume he's gone soon. And I'll be searching for clues.
I will say Rosenborg seem very persistent.
