Goooooooooooch

At the half hour, Belgian champs Standard Liège are up 1-0 at Mouscron thanks to an Oguchi Onyewu header on 14 minutes.

The video clip (and any subsequent American goal scorers) still to come...

UPDATE: Don't tell nobody... (looks around to make sure we're not being followed)... but Gooch has scored again. The big man left the home keeper helpless on a second header moments past the hour to put Standard up 3-0.

Remember: it's a secret. Shhhh.

UPDATE UPDATE: It ends 3-nil, with Onyewo bagging his second brace of the campaign. Enjoy the full highlights...

GOOOCH!

One question though, what in the world happened to Danny Szetela? Injured? He isn't even making the Brescia bench.

Danny did have some sort of nagging injury recently, the body location of which escapes me at this particular moment. I'm not sure if it's worsened, but I suppose I could simply try to ask and find out. :D

Didn't Brescia go through a coaching change at some point, which brought about a system change that Danny didn't quite fit in with?

Maybe I'm misremembering that.

The change came last September. The system difference is probably what's kept him out of the starting line-up, but he still has played 15 games this season. The injury was more recent.

Scratch that... 16 games.
