A few things...

Gotta move quick, guests in from Hamburg today and I'm taking them to experience the best Indonesian restaurant in town (which is really saying something). The tour guide is in, his gut is headed out...

#1 - A quick USMNT roster update: Luis Robles has returned to Kaiserlsautern for preseason training. Meanwhile, fresh from helping FC Nordsjælland post a 2-0 win over Danish champs FC Copenhagen in their season opener, Michael Parkhurst has been recalled by Bob Bradley for the semifinal meeting with Honduras, along with Chicago keeper Jon Busch.

Of course, he was summoned after Jimmy Conrad's scary head knock against Panama. The good news is he's going to be fine.

#2 - Livorno chief Aldo Spinelli says the Serie A risers have had initial talks with MLS about Landon Donovan. The exec doesn't believe the fee will be a problem, but seems worried about the Galaxy star's salary demands.

#3 - The MLS All-Star roster has been filled out. The inclusion of Brad Davis saves me a tantrum - can't have an league select with no St. Louis natives. That would just be wrong.

#4 - I had a word with Erik Hort, who is slated to start at right back for his new Israeli Premier League club. Not only that, but the coach has tabbed him to take corners!

#5 - L.A. boss Bruce Arena has issued a statement on the David Beckham fan incident from Sunday. It's not very exciting.

#6 - NY Post ace Michael Lewis brings us a bushel of Red Bulls bits.

Hmm. I may have been able to phrase that better.

#7 - In this video fan question interview with Goal, Armenian-born RSL forward Yura Movsisyan says he is shooting for the citizenship that will allow him to suit up for the U.S. National Team in a couple of years.

Back with more later, I'm off to eat too much.

Donovan to Livorno? Gazetta dello sport says so...

@ jason: We went and it turned out the owners were on vacation and it was closed. AGH!

@ Max: That Gazzetta bit is just a rehash of the Donovan/Livorno article I linked at #2.

Greg - what do you think about Yura's chances of developing into someone Bradley would consider? Surely if Eddie Johnson got a cap on his Cardiff form his chances might of getting cap somewhere down the road must be pretty good. Charlie Davies emergence definitely changes the picture but I don't think either Casey or Ching will factor in any post-2010 plans so there should be spots opening up.

If we continue to insist on a target forward then Yura has a chance. He's already comparable to Ching in my opinion. Speaking of RSL forwards, no idea why Findley didn't get a shot in the Gold Cup, we have like two forwards left on the roster.

Yura is not a target forward. He likes to use his pace to get behind defenses.

@ Clueless Yank: I'd consider Yura much like a Charlie Davies-type forward, just with a bit more size. I think he has a chance, with potentially two seasons in Europe before he's a U.S. citizen, to make a little USMNT noise when the time comes.

@ Chris: Findley has been battling ankle trouble since early June.
