We should have known Brian McBride was playing hurt... I mean, it stands to reason, eh? As it now stands, the Fire line leader is likely to miss the rest of the MLS season due to shoulder surgery.
The former USMNT star is hoping to be back for the playoffs, which naturally means he probably will be - even if he needs a wingflap transplant.
However, it makes one wonder: being that Stefan Dimitrov (he of seven career MLS minutes) is the only other power forward-type on the roster, will Chicago finally trade in their Justin Mapp chip to bring in a new striker? Or will they go Phoenix Suns small-ball on offense?

Oh no - FIFA has approved the Vuvuzelas for next year.
They're really making it hard for South Africa 2010 to be anything but a disaster.
