Hoffenheim land Gyau, Renken

It was a scoop I chased, but couldn't nail down: Bundesliga side Hoffenheim have struck a deal for U.S. teen wunderkinds Joseph-Claude Gyau and Charles Renken. The two will spend part of their year in Germany, with part of it spent working out in Vancouver and attending school.

I knew this was going down in Germany, but I couldn't figure out where or who the agent was. Good show, Justin.

You can catch a little a both players in these U.S. U-17 clips from last year...

It sounds like Hoffenheim is making a concerted effort to spruce up their academy a great deal.

They've got boatloads of money to pour into their youth program, so I think this could potentially be a brilliant move for both players.

Jozy Altidore opens his account for Hull, from what looks like (on ESPN GameCenter) quite a ways out. Looking forward to the clip.

Good post, BTW. Thanks.
