Okay, I'm still in interwebs hell, but I have managed to now see all the emails asking "What's going on with X". Losing my best buddy Skype for the better part of a few days has certainly hampered the hunts a bit (and it will remain unstable until Monday), but I'll give you what I got...
- The #1 question from the many emails was: is Landon Donovan headed to Paris Saint-Germain on loan in January? Of course, we've all seen the French report, which may or may not be accurate.
To the question of whether he'd fit in well at PSG, yes he would. He could bookend Ludovic Giuly by running from the left, he could take the keys from and slide over the more erratic Stéphane Sessegnon or he could run off of active target man Guillaume Hoarau in a team that could contend for the league crown with one more impact defender.
What little I do know is that, above and beyond that potential situation, Donovan has several clubs in a handful of countries with interest in buying him now. I do not yet have any names, but I do believe that known suitor Livorno is not among this group. I also have reason to believe at least one of these callers is in England.
Donovan's agent, Richard Motzkin, is always playing close to vest in MLS matters, but he did tell me this: "There are many European clubs interested in Landon now, via transfer or loan - none of which is surprising given Landon's dominating play and leadership with both the Galaxy and U.S. Men's National Team this summer."
One thing is certain: Donovan has quickly passed MLS by and will move on. Will it be in January or now? I tend to lean towards him staying until winter because he Galaxy actually have a Spice team worthy of contending in a playoff (and, erm, of making it in the first place).
But I guess the real factor will be any possible offers. As we know, there some that just can't be refused. Stay tuned...
- The #2 query had to do with Freddy Adu's situation. While the interwebs trouble has hampered me this week, I don't believe much is going on with that just now. I am on it, though. ear to tracks.
- I also had a few people ask about Ricardo Clark's Livorno interest. I was told by the club that they are backing off of that until the MLS season is done. Will they pick it up again? One can never say, but as of right now, I'd say they will. Naturally, one summer transfer could change that.
- Schalke's Jermaine Jones is still waiting for FIFA approval on his international switch (silly, ain't it?) and is still recovering from a shin fracture.
There were a few other stray player queries, but those questioners will need to hold the line. Either the situation remains in the air or I can't share yet, one of the two.
Meanwhile, the S365 column I had promised for Friday will now go up on Monday. For realsies.
Oh, and because I'm trying to be efficient while I have interwebs, we get another criminally ignored good ol' fashion American open road, open window Tommy Conwell & the Young Rumblers Cut of the Day.

Wow, you stand and deliver! Bravo sir!
Sounds like Jozy's debut drew some praise from announcers and pundits.
Hopefully he gets a start next weekend.
There's nothing like Tommy Conwell to complete a great day...
