I took a mini-break by not posting here yesterday, but that doesn't mean I abandoned you guys in my head. The Distracter (who also greatly enjoys lists) insisted that I need to do more Top 5's, so I started working on two. But for now, watch some TV while enjoying breakfast in bed...
Leading off we have a highlight reel of Sochaux's 1-0 opening day win at Auxerre, with debutant Charlie Davies entering stage left at the 2.25 mark.
You've probably read bits 'n bobs about the start of Argentina's season being in grave danger due to massive club debts. CNN World Sport offers a comprehensive report.
The kids who grew up in England in the '70's & '80's must be ready to wet themselves with glee. Roy of the Rovers is coming to the big screen!!!
Well... not really, but this is hilarious (contains one F-bomb).
I love these individual highlight reels fans are starting to put together. This one tracks Cristiano Ronaldo against Toronto FC on Friday.
ESPN's Frank Labouef talks to Barcelona forward Thierry Henry about the challenge facing them this season and much more.
The popular "Hitler gets upset finding out about stuff" series now has him angrily learning that AC Milan has sold Kaka (do note that Gooch is not projected by the Nazis as a starter... arrogant fools!).
Finally, something you may well have seen, but is just too strangely compelling to miss. This clip is a dress rehearsal for a Thriller routine put on by 1500+ Filipino prisoners just after Michael Jackson's death. This took them all of 10 hours to put together. I suppose St. Louis homeboy Vincent Price was right: no mere mortal can resist.
This is some kinda world we live in, folks.

that thriller video just made my day.. good stuff..crazy the impact one person can have on the world..
Hate to burst the timing bubble, but that Thriller video has actually been around for a while. When you think about it, that's even more frightening...it's not a tribute to an artist who died, they somehow just decided to re-enact Thriller in a prison.
I did a double check (past the video label), and you are right. The original Thriller routine is from July 2007. The MJ tribute routine they did two days after his death included a medley of other songs such as I'll Be There & Dangerous.
I still prefer the Thriller clip, though. :D
