Pearce signs in Turkey

U.S. left back Heath Pearce has inked a three-year deal with Turkish Super Ligi outfit Bursaspor (currently fifth through four games). He has been given the #3 shirt. He said a few words about the move at his presentation (WARNING: Apparently some are being treated to a very loud advert with the clip, so beware of the volume setting).

More to come...

I am not a big supporter of him at Left Back, but how could you not hope he succeeds. Even if he's not our man at LB it would be very good to have him as our #2.

Is it just me or does he look very disappointed?

At the very least, he looks uncomfortable. The presser looks like it is being held in an office at a Turkish prison. I don't know why it looks that way to me, but it does.

Considering Turkey is some hours earlier a time zone than Germany, I would guess that he just looks very tired.

This video needs to come with a disclosure that Turkish lemonade commercial was SHOCKING AND LOUD!

I never saw a lemonade ad.

Honestly, to me he looks like someone who doesn't speak the language and doesn't know how to look because he doesn't know what comments or questions are being said.

I'm sure it was a little strange, but to me, he just looks like he is only half-awake. He looks like he's suffering from sleep interuptus.

I don't know anything about this team. Is it a good fit for his skills and will he have a good shot at getting playing time?

Greg - what happened? Ives Galarcep is reporting that the deal fell through?

Sorry, I can't comment on that yet. What I will divulge is that the explanation given by the club is not factual.
