Yup, Wycombe Wanderers forward Jon-Paul Pittman has scored for the third straight match, knotting up a Football League Trophy first round contest with visitors Northampton from the spot just past the hour. It's still 1-1 with 20 to play, so he could add on with a winner.
If it's just one goal, I won't bother trying to dig up a PK clip, but we do have an interview with the Wycombe site where JP promises more goals to come.
UPDATE: As noted by a reader in the comment section, Pittman grabbed his brace to re-tie the game again in stoppage time. The Choirboys, however, fell on PK's.

Pittman scores a late equalizer but Wycombe lose on penalties. 4 goals in 3 games.
I'm by no means an expert, but I think the perception of League One as a step below MLS would make it pretty difficult to justify calling up anyone like Pittman of Jemal Johnson when there are a few deserving candidates in MLS. These guys probably need to step up to the Championship to have a chance at breaking through with the USMNT.
I would like to see Pittman called up at some point in his career. He is still young though, only 22. League One is def. his lowest level. He can only go up from here. He's done very well for himself. This time last year he was a non-league player. I know he really wants to play for the USA so hopefully he can get called up sometime. Maybe a Gold Cup.
