Guess who's coming to Mokum?

The rumour has been floating around a while, and I can now confirm via local sources that the USMNT will be playing a friendly against fellow World Cup invitees the Netherlands in Amsterdam on March 3rd.

For potential travelers: the match will start at 8:45 PM local time, with tickets ranging from €17-55. As the match approaches, I will post a small visitor's guide. Anyone trying to book hotels or having questions about the city can always send me an email for tips/suggestions.

And if I can convince Sean to hop over - and it probably won't take much - I just may also put together some sort of game day meet-up.

UPDATE: I have now been informed that the general ticket sale will begin on January 30th, presumably after members of the Oranje Supporters Club have their pickings. My source wasn't sure if the USSF will be selling any tickets at ussoccer.com (I figure they will) or when that might start.

I was also asked if the USMNT drawing the Netherlands in their World Cup group could derail the match. I suppose it's possible... but not necessarily set in stone that it would work that way. Everyone on my end seems to be talking as if it's a 100% certain date. But since there is a 12.5% chance we'd draw the Dutch next Friday, I'll just cross my fingers to be safe.
