EJ loaned to Aris (updated)

Well that didn't take long to go from report to reality...

Fulham forward Eddie Johnson will play out his season with Greek battlers Aris Thessaloniki, managed by former Inter Milan and Valencia boss Hector Cuper.

UPDATE: I've also just been informed that Zachary Herold decided last night to spurn Cologne to sign with MLS.

UPDATE UPDATE: Having already snapped up Johnson on loan, Aris FC are now being linked with a similar move for Benfica outcast Freddy Adu.

Aside from some Cletus highlights a couple of years ago, I haven't seen any action from the Super League.

Greg - Do you have any idea on what the standard of play is there and how it compares to the more well known leagues in Europe?

Thanks.

Ya know how I say there'stwo shades between the Eredivisie and the Jupiler League in Belgium? Well, the Greek league inhabits the shade in the middle. And it's a physical league, so Ed needs to bring his pail 'n shovel.

Thanks for the analysis. Looks like a well-supported club with a nice stadium and quality training facilities.

I'm hoping that with MLS signing all of these players to Generation Adidas contracts is a good sign in the CBA negotiations. Just trying find any positives that I can.

Happy New Year to all.
