This won't be heavy reading, but there's just stuff goin' on. I've also updated the Pittman post with video...
#1 - Okay, this is the best Arsenal v Everton extended reel for now - but I will come back here first thing in the morning to switch it over to the Match of the Day version. Hopefully, they will also upload the analysis segment after the highlights. For now, Toffees manager David Moyes talks a bit about new boy Landon Donovan here. He reveals that the American needed off due to a cramp.
UPDATE: Good ol' Matty has hooked up an individual highlight reel for Donovan, so I added that as well.
UPDATE UPDATE: MOTD clip is now here.
#2 - I learned this afternoon that free agent U.S. U-20 midfielder Bryan Arguez was on his way to train with Flamengo for a week. When I got this confirmed, I also learned that a return MLS could be an option. Hmmm. I'm still guessing that it's not the preferred option.
#3 - I forgot to mention last time that the USMNT v Netherlands ticket info is out from the USSF. I believe these tickets each have about a $15 service mark-up and are located in a corner. They do go on sale about 2 1/2 weeks before the Dutch free sale starts, so plot tour moves accordingly.
#4 - Following Friday's vicious attack on their team bus that killed three, Togo have withdrawn from the African Nations Cup. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says the games must go on, while Hull boss Phil Brown wants his players to leave. Meanwhile, The Mail's Ralph Ellis wonders what this might mean for World Cup in South Africa.
UPDATE: Just a couple more quick blurbs...
#5 - The USMNT has already let the injured Jeff Larentowicz (knee) out of camp, and now Sacha Kljestan and Brandom McDonald have missed a training session with dings.
#6 - Incoming MLS rookie Danny Mwanga did not take part in the first day of the Combine. Barring some sort of knock, this tells me that he has agreed to terms with #1 pick holder Philly Union. I will now be asking around to see if there is any injury to speak of - if not, then we know what's up.

hey greg, can we get an update on Holden? do you know anything about what's going on with him in the UK?
As far as I know, he is in England right now. I do not know if the Burnley trial will go off, if he will now trial with Bolton (where said manager ran off to), if he will visit rumoured admirer Blackburn, if someone else has invited him over or what.
As you can tell, I am not terribly locked in on this target yet. :D
