As predicted by my Facebook buddy Bruce of DuNord a spell ago, Clint Dempsey has just put Fulham up with mere moments to play in leg two regulation by scoring a disturbingly gorgeous goal.Down 4-1 on aggregate, the home side Cottagers have rallied with four, Dempsey's putting them in front. Stay tuned for updates until the whistle and the clip...
UPDATE: It is a final, Fulham have knocked off a 10-man Juventus 4-1 to advance on a 5-4 aggregate.
UPDATE UPDATE: Enjoy the glory...

9-man, by the end.
Sweet heavens that goal was magnificent.
what a golazo - Englishmen will be quaking in their boots again!
Clintinho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most important goal ever scored by an American in Europe?
Maybe one of beaseleys? I can't think of one off the top of my head.
Dempsey's goal against Liverpool in 2007 that kept Fulham in the Premier League is probably the most significant goal scored by an American in Europe: the so-called 60 million pound goal. This is only #2!
@strago
maybe not to all of europe, but the goal dempsey scored to keep fulham from relegation probably meant more to the club.
DeMerit's goal to put Watford into the Premiership was a big one, too.
Deuce's goal with the Roy Hudson commentary gives me chills!
Guys, calm down a bit. Clint is over his head and will never make it in the Premier League. His tricks may work for him with the Revs, but he'll never get away with that stuff in Europe. He should come back to MLS before he embarrasses himself.
