Scoop, yo. (updated)

I don't get to do this very often at NSC, but here goes: I can report that Chivas USA defender Jonathan Bornstein has signed a four-year pre-deal to join Tigres at the end of the MLS season.

Whew! I've had to sit on that for nearly a week! I wasn't supposed to reveal until tomorrow, but things change quickly in the silly season.

UPDATE: And why not throw on one I completely missed for good measure? Soccernet all-star Jeff Carlisle reports Hannover 96 winger Sal Zizzo is headed for an MLS weighted lottery.

Nice work, Greg. It's odd to me that someone would give you a scoop and make you sit on it for a WEEK. That's an eternity. But thanks for keeping us sated, and I suppose your ability to honor those requests is why you get the scoops.

Good to see what Zizzo can do. I find MLS to be pretty watchable these days. Guys like Zizzo will only help.

Was there any interest from Europe for Bornstein? Seems like a move like Klejestan's might have been better for him.
