So, as I was saying...

Here is a little update on the transfer saga surrounding AGF midfielder Benny Feilhaber, a guy who looked all but set to be on the move last week, only to have bidding intensify.

And as promised, a new nugget for ya: the same agent also reps Oguchi Onyewu, and he told me that the big guy is now open to a loan move outside Serie A - a reversal I am theoretically tying to the emergence of serious interest from FC Twente, who are managed by his former Standard boss Michel Preud'homme.

Could the two-and-half-year nightmare* of seeing no American in the Eredivisie finally end? Stay tuned...

* = I consider it a nightmare, so shut up.

I think you mean "big" guy, unless his complexion has changed that much :)

Great work as always Greg.

Thanks for the updates, Greg.

Good news for the Nats on both fronts. Gooch needs to play. Twente are challenging for CL ball next year.

Would love to seen Benny back in D1. Heard rumours about Brazil, though.

It's no rumor and you heard it from me. I haven't seen anyone else anywhere even mention it.

He really has one offer on the table from Brazil, with the obvious educated guess being Botafogo.

And don't forget, Twente are still in the Europa League.

Cool. Thanks for the response Greg.

Though I have a bit of news to pass on, there are some Aarhus supporters on BS who are a bit upset about you referencing the club as Aarhus GF.

Apparently, the proper name is AGF Aarhus.

Yeah, I saw that. Apparently, they changed how they call the team in popular use - though technically both the football and handball (and other sport departments are ALL officially named "Aarhus Gymnastikforening".

I will make the alteration, though. I certainly wasn't trying to offend any AGF fans.
