Alrighty then. (updated)

I will update this post through the day. I have several pots boiling on the stove, but let's start this day with one small sample taste, shall we?

- I have learned that Fulham forward Eddie Johnson has at least two Championship loan suitors. And not much more yet, but I'm on it. I will add, though, that I think it's a swell idea.

UPDATE: I'm almost extremely pleased to announce a confirmed Johnson loan to my favorite English club, Preston North End. MLSS mini-bit is in the chute.

UPDATE UPDATE: Zup.

- Amid a sudden outbreak of Turkish reports once again insisting Jozy Altidore is headed to Bursaspor, I have a brief summary of what's going on around him today going up momentarily at MLSS, which I hope to follow later with the final goods. Long story short: the kid is in play.

UPDATE: The Jozy bit, as promised. This may soon be coming to a thrilling conclusion.

UPDATE UPDATE: I've been told Altidore is going on loan. I do not yet know where, and I am not even sure if he knows where just yet. A bit of a battle going on, it seems. Stay tuned...

UPDATE³: Just got the word from his agent that Jozy is in fact off to Bursaspor for a six-er. And then, he tweeted it. I hate Twitter. MLS report being loaded.

KAPLOW: I don't think we've ever had a fourth update before. Story up.

- I'm also waiting to hear back from Sigma Olomouc, who are believed to be after a six-month loan for recent trialist Stefan Jerome.

- As I warned in the comments of another post, the Michael Bradley-to-Fword report was total BS. In fact, Express has removed the story from their website. It seems they confused him somehow with real De Kuip 'Gladbach target Marcel Meewuis. Our boy Mikey is, of course, at Villa Park for his medical. And from Gerard Houllier's morning remarks, it seems Villa have obtained a summer buy option: "Bradley will be signing, hopefully. We've got to prepare for the future, and Michael is 23 and a very hard working midfielder who can score goals."

- I got a quick word with fresh FC Hoechst catch Vincenzo Bernardo, who has signed a short-term deal through the end of the season. There will be a short report on that at MLSS before long.

UPDATE: Ta-da! Today, I actually need to be alerted when my own stuff is already up. And sleep sounds wondrous.

- Here's a fun fact while we all wait for more scoopery: as of 5:10 pm CET, I have transmitted or received 78 calls/texts/emails today. And folks, I didn't get out of bed until nearly 11. Shut up.

- Word out of Sweden says Djurgårdens are trying to swing a deadline deal for impressive trialist Gale Agbossoumonde. Of course, I am trying to hunt this info down.

- Also in Sweden, it appears Alejandro Bedoya will start the new season with Örebro. There have been no formal offers and it seems his admirers are willing to wait until summer, when he will be down to the last six months of his contract.

- Leeds United forward Mike Grella may seal a third loan move to Carlisle for the rest of the season, but it has not been decided yet. I can tell you that Leeds is not pushing it; the loan spell is the player's choice. There may be a story on this later today or he could close out the term at Elland Road.

- Michael Bradley's Aston Villa loan is officially official now, as you can see.

- And now we have official official Freddinho.

- NSC regular strago has brought this one to my attention: St. John's defender Eric Opsahl get's a short term deal plus option with Reading.

- By the way, every time I do one of these, I wish again there was a way to send update alerts. Hrmph.

- Oh yeah, stay tuned - I may have one or two more, despite the window close. Should be at least one, I think. Update soon...

- Sarpsborg keeper Colin Burns has gone down a flight on loan to Sandefjord.

I love the silly season! Greg you're the man. Although, I was a bit disappointed when I checked at 0545 EST and there was no update yet :P

Gotta let the dishes cook, man. I would surely love it if everyone would answer every call first time and tell me exactly what I want to know when I want to know it... alas, they do not.

From reports out of Sweden linked on the bastion of truth that is BigSoccer, it looks like Traffic are hiking his price as the end of the window nears. Sounds a lot like the boondoggle with Braga.

Reports see to indicate its Burapasor for Jozy? Interesting it's in Turkey and not in Spain. You would think that Villareal would want to keep him close.

SBI is claiming that Eddie's going to Preston for the rest of the season. Not that I like having to read the news on SBI, mind you.

Re-check the post, Jay. ;)

Yeah, I'm sure others will find out things, too. It's hard to be first at every stop. Truthfully, I am not really noticing at all what is going on with the internet reports because I'm too busy on phones and such. This is my April 15th - only mine comes twice a year.

Golly gosh! It must have been there the whole time. Damn my disloyal eyes!

Erik Opsahl?

Thank you, I totally missed that. As I said... tunnel vision.

1 - That word is not allowed here, Jesse.

2 - I wasn't bothered in the slightest because I knew immediately it was pure BS.

Besides, if I can stomach my good pal Cory Gibbs playing for F-word, I can handle about anybody being there.

But nobody should ever go there again. :D
