A few things...

We haven't had one of these in a while. Let's see if I still remember how...

#1
- It will be interesting to see who starts for Hull today and next week, as Vito Mannone has returned to the selection. This local article breaks down the situation facing standout loan replacement Brad Guzan.

#2
- Just to recap things of mine you may have missed over the last few days:

- The usual Friday forecast of weekend Euro-fare involving Americans
- This week's Postcard From Europe features Halmstads' Ryan Miller
- This week's Top 5 Continental Shifts at S365

Oh yeah... and I can now say that I definitely got duped by Bursaspor on the Jozy Altidore ankle injury story. I called to ask of his ankle and they said it was fine, that he got pulled because of illness. After the Heath Pearce debacle and now this, consider Bursaspor off my list of credible sources of info about Bursaspor.

Messed up, huh? In any event, I hope you will retroactively take my Monday news item as an unintended exposé of that club being routinely out of its gourd.

#3
- Jack Bell catches up with Hannover 96 right back/season darlings skipper Steve Cherundolo.

#4
- The Shin Guardian offers up a dynamic duo:

- Alexi Lalas talks Serie A, then and now
- WC2014 stadia have gone "Halliburton" - TSG investigates

#5
- SI's Sid Lowe shines a light on some media funny business going on in Spain.

#6 - The injury crisis got so bad on St. Pauli's backline last week that the manager dressed their press officer. No, really.

I love this club so much. Did I ever tell you I lived within gameday earshot of the Millerntor for a while? Fun, crazy neighborhood.
