Biesla, bub?

While the reports that the USSF has contacted erstwhile Chile coach Marcelo Biesla about a technical director position are fresh, I've already had several NSC nutters solicit my take by email.

To be honest, I'd be far more interested in seeing Biesla succeed Bob Bradley than I would be in seeing him oversee the current USMNT coach.

In style and attitude, I think he could represent the next step for U.S. Soccer. He meticulously prepares and drills like Bradley, but is more free-wheeling and this attitude is displayed in the play of his teams.

I really really hope this is true. And I agree with you about wanting him to be the HC instead of Bradley. What do you think are the odds of him (if he does take this job) being the National team coach should Bob Bradley stumble in the near future?

I can't really imagine Bradley being replaced before WC 2014. I'm assuming his successor will only arrive then.

Isn't bielsa, you know, crazy?

However, his playing style could very well fit with Agudelo, Bonbooree, and Co.

How can we afford him?
