Video Tuesday

Who's ready for France tomorrow? Let's make sure all those tubes at work and whatnot are tuned in to make some new soccer fans...

Since we're talking Women's World Cup and there's no Who likes goals? this week, let's start with this nasty Route 1 finish from England's Ellen White.

England 2-0 Japan Highlights World cup women door worldgoals

While we're checking out goals, I guess there's no use avoiding the one by Julio Gómez that lifted Mexico to a last minute Under-17 World Cup winner. This is becoming a habit with them. Urgh.

If you dare, here is the entire ManU/Revs presser from yesterday. As always, Sir Alex has much to say about MLS and soccer in America. And for crying out loud, can someone please explain to Rio Ferdinand that he can now get proper baked beans?

I only have one thing to say about the MLS Save of the Week running: Matt Pickens = Pure, molten sickness. You need a Hazmat suit to go near him after that bit of L-prevention. Okay, technically, that was two things.

Finally, let's not forget the lady who buried the deciding spot kick. Ali Krieger is the only player on the World Cup team not to play in America last season. She survived a 2005 episode with six mini-heart attacks (Yeah... you have one and then call it "mini") to become a Bundesliga and German Cup champion with Birgit Prinz & Co. at powerhouse side FFC Frankfurt. Here she talks about the pro life in Germany.
