When donkeys are flying... (updated)
Despite what has turned out to be a tardy entrance to the party from AS Roma, it looks like Michael Bradley is now set to join Chievo. I am still trying to firm up the details, but I've been told from multiple unconnected places that the U.S. midfielder agreed to personal terms with the Serie A side on Friday and the clubs have now also come to a deal.
I'd been holding the fact that Borussia Mönchengladbach had been asking for exactly €3.5 million. The teams were a good ways apart on Friday, so it seems fairly safe to assume that "The Flying Donkeys" eventually kicked that price down a little bit. Over the weekend, Roma finally started to make their move for Bradley over the weekend, but did so to find soon after that the attempt had come too late.
Personally, I think this is a great move for him. It's a beautiful place to live, the squad is underrated and he would not be assured a starting place at Roma. This league should be right up his alley.
UPDATE: According to about-as-reliable-as-it-gets-in-Spain daily AS, that Spanish club interested in Bradley is Racing Santander.
