Checkpoint Charlie - Revenge of the Stank

I spy two guys soon the be seen in a USMNT shirt. Yesterday's tricky leg gives Charlie Davies eight goals in 15 MLS starts this season. Meanwhile, half a world away, Sochaux have just two striker goals in their first seven games of the new campaign. Hmm... I wonder if they think he's ready to be back now.

By the way, I will now also be giving a Hat Trick Alert for Americans who bag one in MLS - not really sure why I excluded them before.

And for those of you interested, we'll be talking much more Davies tonight in the Grinder. Stick and stay, as the kids say.

I'd like to see Davies get a chance more so because I am not convinced of his comeback vs being so. He finishes, which is great don't get me wrong, BUT, I will join that bandwagon: I could have scored three goals with Pontius' service that game. DC is going to miss him. That being said, we have four games coming up, why not give Davies some minutes in one?

man after watching that "Charlie Davies Highlight Reel" I'm a big fan of Chris Pontius. Too bad he got hurt. The smart runs to get open, the smart passes - Charlie wasn't the one making them necessarily. He was busy filling the routine routes.

Greg, What's his contract situation? Loan with all of the options to DC?
