A few things... (updated)

Filling some reader requests, once again back is the incredible...

#1 - Quite wisely, Klinsi has let Landon Donovan out of the USMNT travel party.

#2 - Let me just get this out of the way, so it doesn't wait until item five to annoy you with anticipation. I have some deluxe goodies of all varieties coming soon at MLSS.

#3 - We talked a little about Clint Dempsey and the American record for EPL goals. Soccer Over There runs the numbers to break it all down.

#4 - Unsurprisingly, FootieBusiness has tabbed Sporting KC as the top PR team in MLS. The staff there always kills it, and the opening of Livestrong Sporting Park surely has sent those monsters of mingling into overdrive. They love their club and it shows.

#5 - Forgot this last week. It's France's roster for Friday's USMNT friendly in Paris:

G - Cédric Carrasso (Bordeaux), Hugo Lloris (Lyon), Steve Mandanda (Marseille)

D - Eric Abidal (Barcelona), Matthieu Debuchy (Lille), Jérémy Mathieu (Valencia), Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal), Adil Rami (Valencia), Anthony Réveillère (Lyon), Mamadou Sakho (PSG)

M - Yohan Cabaye (Newcastle), Alou Diarra (Marseille), Florent Malouda (Chelsea) Yann M'Vila (Rennes), Marvin Martin, (Sochaux), Samir Nasri (Manchester City)

F -Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), Kevin Gameiro (PSG), Jérémy Ménez (PSG), Loïc Rémy (Marseille), Franck Ribéry (Bayern Munich), Olivier Giroud (Montpellier)

#6 - Good grief, check out the new Bordeaux stadium mock-up. Things look like Superman's shag pad. Awesome.

#7 - Using any excuse to promote gettin' down, Nutmeg Radio shows us how impromptu discos break out at Real Madrid. Adebayor! Adebayor! It's your birthday!!

Actually... he looks like he could probably shut it down being serious. Of course, later on, we will discuss Hope Solo and another rug cutting session.

#8 - Finally, let's throw it to the Studio 90 crew for a quick bonjour from camp life. It's all about Camp this week, my friends...

UPDATE: After posting, the ladies put out their Hello Muddah Hello Faddah clip for the day.

Has there been an info embargo on Grown Ass Man Johnson? Or just a lack of it? I've seen the question asked a few times in the comments (and asked it myself) to no response.

It's gotten awful quiet since Brøndby lost interest. I don't know why that is exactly. I'd assume he's pursuing opportunities, hoping they become options.

The funny thing is, if he would come back to MLS, it would be as a more complete player. He's played better than his meager goal stats in Europe - not wildly better, but better. And he's picked up a few new skills and tactical awarenesses along the way.

Oh, and I just miss or forget to answer sometimes when it's busy. Not trying to avoid anyone.

I thought it was a real shame when he backed out of his MLS contract this last time. We may have bagged on the guy a LOT over the years, but he seems like the sort who might have leveraged his time in Europe into a successful MLS career. There are guys like Nat Borchers who are well respected, quality league players who are just short of the USMNT level. Call me crazy, but I think Johnson could make a good career in MLS at that level of play.

Any idea what's going on with Adu? How is he not in the U23 or the senior camps?

No offense or anything, but I can't stand the MLSS layout/organization/tendency to crash my browser, and I can never locate your stuff on MLSS without a link from here. Is it up yet?

Not it... them.

And no, not yet.
