As if you haven't had enough to talk about the last few days...

Caleb Porter has named his January 22 for Olympic prep that will continue in L.A. and Costa Rica. Obviously, the eye-opener this time is a certain former Mexico youth international of promise. Again, this group seems a little small to me, especially considering there is no textbook #9 type in the bunch.

G - David Bingham (San Jose Earthquakes), Zac MacMath (Philadelphia Union)

D - Gale Agbossoumonde (Eintracht Frankfurt), Sebastien Ibeagha (Duke), Kofi Sarkodie (Houston Dynamo), Zarek Valentin (Montreal Impact), Jorge Villafaña (Chivas USA), Andrew Wenger (Duke), Sheanon Williams (Philadelphia Union)

M - Isaac Acuña (Mérida), Joe Corona (Club Tijuana), Mikkel Diskerud (Stabæk), Dilly Duka (Columbus Crew), Jared Jeffrey (Mainz 05), Sebastian Lletget (West Ham United), Amobi Okugo (Philadelphia Union), Kelyn Rowe (UCLA), Michael Stephens (LA Galaxy)

F - Freddy Adu (Philadelphia Union), Josh Gatt (Molde), Jack McInerney (Philadelphia Union), Tony Taylor (Atletico Clube de Portugal)

- Greg Seltzer

Greg,

Who else is a "given" for the Olympic squad? And is it too early to speculate who the "over-23's" will be?
