Kind of high up the pitch for Gooch. Had they thrown everyone forward for the equalizer or was he playing a more offensively minded position?
he was doing that in the last game for the Nats too. If I remember right, he spent that last 5mins of the game roaming around striker territory, and our d-mid dropped back and covered for him.
Great goal. Reminds me of the Portland/RSL season finale when Portland CB Futty scored from the run of play from nearly the same spot and I was thinking "what on Earth was he doing in the 6?"
Standard used to throw him up the pitch late in a game they trailed all the time. HB Koge does the same thing with Rusin now.
