- The new US shirts... hmmm. I really want to like them. I definitely like the fact that the fellas and ladies will be wearing the same thing, but man I do not like the horizontal stripes. Since it's clearly emulating the flag, I'll hush up about it. But I don't seem to like it, no matter how hard I try. That's my 2 cents on that.
- Sporting KC's start? Not surprised. That it ended in Portland from a game they had 58% of the ball? Not surprised.
Even with the loss, I think everyone should take note at how long it took for them to get a 4-3-3-ish (now morphed to a 4-2-3-1) system down pat. That would be 2+ years by my count. Seriously, pay attention.
- Oh, gosh, what a shock! Real Madrid won at Barcelona and will win the title, what a shocking development!!
Erm... I said it was over in February. No surprise here, either. People need to listen next time. Same goes for Ajax heading to the table now. People don't listen.
- What a tough Danish Cup semifinal first leg loss for Conor O'Brien and SønderjyskE against FC Copenhagen. Harsh. If I ever find the highlight reel, I may post it, late as it is. Folks need to watch out for that team next term, they are screaming "season darlings" down the back stretch this go-around.
- What of Clint Dempsey and all the old suitors popping up in UK reports this week? I'm on it, but don't expect instant breakthrough. It's all very hush-hush.
- Man, it was good to see Anderlecht scrape one at Club Brugge and finally look like winning one of these bizarre, ill-conceived Belgian championship hexagonals. Apparently, there, the 30 game regular season is only of half importance. Put down the great beer for five seconds, you're having a total laugh.
- It took the old-timers to come out and show the proper way to play against Mexico. A JOB assist and a McHead goal. What else? Set the example. Perfection.
- Once again, I was stunned when Piermario Morosini died during a Livorno match. It saddens me and it freaks me out as an older, non-pro athlete that is always running around doing something.
All my condolences go out to everyone associated with Morosini, I cannot imagine your sorrow and disbelief.

Good to have you back. Hope you enjoyed your vacation.
Do you think the Kings - Blues series will have the fewest goals scored ever? I could see 4 goals being scored in the series.
