Woot-Woot!

Kaiserslautern striker Andrew Wooten has stamped his first Bundesliga start with his first Bundesliga goal. Seven minutes before intermission, the U.S. prospect ably fired home to cap a counter and give the visitors a rare 2-0 lead at Hertha Berlin.

Also a hockey assist on the 1st goal. Very cool. I know absolutely nothing about this kid but I'm excited to start following him, albeit in the 2.Bundesliga :(

Well, he's not down there yet. And he's a summer freebie with interest in the top flight, so don't be surprised if he stays up.

With Hertha's form the last few months, it looks like you'll have Alfredo Morales to root for in the second division anyhow.

he looked offsides. greg, do you want to reconsider your position on the dempsey goal before the panel meets? time heals all wounds.

1 - I would love to hear you explain how you determined he looked offside when he wasn't in the picture when the pass was let loose. Closely inspecting the second angle provided, I must disagree with you. He looked onside to me, if only by a small distance.

2 - I require no wound healing. You must have me confused with someone else.

Fans who wanted him on the Olympic squad... can take solace in the fact that he was not on the Olypmic squad.

That said, very excited for him and Terrence Boyd.
