News For Breakfast! (updated)

It's almost as good as breakfast for dinner. Food talk aside, let's make with today's goodie. I have it on excellent authority that free agent midfielder Bryan Gerzicich will re-sign with Israeli champs Hapoel Irona Kiryat Shmona in the next couple of days.

The impression I got was that he did not want to play for another Ligat Ha'Al side (some were interested). He had solid offers from Argentina, Germany and Russia, but eventually opted to stay put at Hapoel.

Now go drink your juice, brush your teeth and have a Saturday. You earned it.

UPDATE: I've now been told by Hapoel that the new contract should be signed on Tuesday. Gerzicich, meanwhile, resumed training with the club over the weekend.
