All that finger-crossing you did for Fabian Johnson to recover in time for the start of World Cup Qualifying didn't work. Apparently it tweaked Edgar Castillo's hamstring too.
Point is, the U.S. is out of regular left backs less than a day away from kickoff with Antigua and Barbuda.
This shouldn't be a huge deal as Parkhurst has played just about every defensive position known to man this season for Nordsjælland and Bocanegra still has a left foot. But man, if there was one spot where we didn't need to lose more speed, that was it.
Some have called for Cameron to slide over and I recall Onyewu having played LCB in a 3-5-2 for FC Twente at one point. That said, shifting Boca over with Cameron or Onyewu partnering Goodson is probably the safest bet at this point.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
Good gravy. This is irritating.
"Last time we see Fabian Johnson in a U.S. shirt," says the cynic in me. Reactionary? Yes, but I got nervous after he showed so well in the non-binding friendlies and picked up a knock when it counts. And after Chandler, I am a cynic.
If you're aware that you're being reactionary, then why proceed? :)
matt, fabian johnson has used his one time switch, therefor, he will only be flying high with the eagle, so point your talons in a different direction.
"he keeps hanging up"
Pearce? Loyd? Frankie Hedjuk?
Hey, you already know what I'd do in this situation.
Dunivant? Morales? Bornstein? No NOT Bornstein! Um ... John? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone at all?
Let's bring back Beasley at left back! It worked so well last time.
Ho ho! That's a good one.
How much does Timmy Chandler want to play for USA again? Whatever it is we may need to pay! Ok, I know that's bad, but...
@Wideboy: Paying for national team allegiance is definitely "nasty".
