BNN - Moving At 33 In A 45 World

Perhaps I could have warned you all ahead of time that the only thing that takes longer to complete than an Italian transfer is a Death Star. And maybe for the younger NSC readers to realize I'm referring to album playing speeds in the title.

Anyway... I'm here to tell you that Leandro Greco has apparently been given the adequate amount of folding paper tickle, and he is back in the Michael Bradley package, as originally planned. So if you are wondering, address all your relevant toe-tapping "HURRY UP" mail to him.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's episode, with special guest star Cloris Leachman. Or something.

(sigh)

Any word on Dempsey? The rumor mill is turning saying Liverpool, but is that enough of a step up for Dempsey? Thoughts on that?

Pop Quiz, why did the horses neigh anytime Frau Blucher's name was mentioned?

anyone?

Blucher is German for glue.

Correct, Unknown my good man!

Except "blucher" is not the German word for glue. The whole thing is just a silly joke on the fact that Frau Blucher is in no way an evil figure...but people think it means more than it does.

Any chance the measly salary (ahem, in Soccer star terms) might be the holdup. It's a bit of a "Mikey, he'll eat anything" salary for someone who proved himself in Serie A in spades last year now going to a top tier team (800,000 Euros). But he's a Gringo, Gringos don't play soccer, so he should be glad he's getting paid at all...

I somewhat suspect he's not too worried about the money, the right team is more important now (and his career payday can come in 3 more years). But all the delays have made my idle mind a bit paranoid.

No. And this actually isn't uncommon with transfers that have several moving parts. It will be settled soon enough.

The Italians change governments faster than they transfer players.
