I can tell you that Rosenborg are getting quite close to a deal for Mikkel Diskerud - but there's a catch. If they cannot complete the transfer by Sunday, I'm told Stabæk will dress the midfielder for their important league survival tilt against Sandnes. If that happens, Mix will be ineligible to transfer to another Tippeligaen side until the season has ended this winter. I'll have a full report at MLSS later on, with a bit of additional scene info.
You're on the clock, Rosenborg. Tick... tick... tick...

Trying to get smart on Rosenborg, it seems like a pretty strong move. The Norwegian league ain't the Barclays, or even the Danish league, but Rosenborg seems to have some nice pedigree. One could ask for a worse shot at European play and a launchpad to a bigger stage.
Greg, any chance you could divulge your personal expectations that this goes through? If it doesn't, is Staebek the only option?
Mix just tweeted a pic of himself holding up a Rosenborg jersey.
it's done: http://www.rbk.no/news/article/1tf28z3w15yip1poi9vayw8v19/title/--det-var-et-enkelt-valg
Deal is for a half-season. Seems smart. Absent some really sweet offers elsewhere, if he gets some decent playing time Rosenborg could be a solid home.
I propose a new motto: "Rosenborg, resistance is futile!"
Sorry, couldn't resist.
The goog-translation isn't particularly definitive. Is this a loan or a complete transfer? I can't imagine that Rosenborg is going to pay a transfer fee for only a half-season of play, and I can't imagine that Stabæk would let him go for free after all this transfer debacle. So which is it?
It's a complete transfer, as odd as that seems. Word is RBK paid a little under $1 million for the transfer fee.
