I don't yet know the full details, but can confirm that Maurice Edu's deal to join Stoke City is now signed and sealed.
UPDATE: It's a three-year deal. Work permit is approved. Done deal, all the way around.
And if you're wondering about the WP edit, I heard wrong the first time (was on the phone in a pouring rain).

calming nerves? what does this have to do with Demsey-Watch 2012??
Latest whispers are Dempsey for 3 million plus Charlie "I look 45" Adam... Carroll to West Ham for up to 17 mill if they stay up, otherwise to NUFC... If Carroll goes on a permanent, Walcott to LFC may still be alive, or possibly Aubameyang...
Sky Sports now reporting Carroll is close to season-long loan with West Ham. Probably will have option for perm switch if they stay up.
Could something BIG be coming down the wire for both Boca and Demps? Or is that wishful thinking?
Boca and Onyewu latest?
Rumblings now that Deuce is at the LFC game with Hearts right now...
Aaaand Times now reporting he is expected to join LFC tomorrow. F-ing finally!
And then they immediately retracted it, saying they are now working on Sturridge since Dempsey swap deal fell through.
This whole thing has been a disgrace, and it's also a shame that none of the US based media have done so much as report thing #1 on this at any point.
Terribly, terribly played by everyone involved; Jol, Dempsey and his agent, Fulham, the US media.
All this has accomplished is that he won't be fully match fit for our qualifiers.
my gosh, deuce and the little devil, thats a funny pairing. oh, berbatov is known as the little devil.
did we ever find out who is the current agent of clint dempsey?
It's Lyle Yorks I believe. Not for long I assume. What a disgrace to the profession. I. Any event, I think the henderson swap story is BS or was something long since put aside and superseded by a new deal. It just doesnt make any sense. Henderson played tonight, which means the club knew well beforehand there woukd be no such swap or else they woukd not have risked their asset. But by that time, there were reports Inc from the Times that a deal was done. So the story is either bogus or very old. It also doesn't make sense. Swapping a 16 million 22 yr old for a 29 yr old that LFC valued at 7 million? In the new age of club austerity? They fought tooth and nail against selling Carroll for less than 20 million, rejecting bids for as much as 17. Nothing about that story makes sense, period. Where that's the case it usually means it ain't true either. I still think come tomorrow night, Deuce is a Red.
my understanding of the situation is that charlie adams does not want to move so far south.
As soon as Adam seals his move to Stoke LFC will get Dempsey. Count on it. Prob for 9-10 million.
And going by logic again, fact that Deuce has turned down Villa and whoever else AG this late point means he likely knew a deal with Pool was certain. This was just a matter of time.
Now being reported fee agreed and Deuce on his way to Melwood for a medical. YNWA! Too bad he apoarently missed Noon cutoff to be able to play this weekend.
