Let's kick this week off properly.

Stuff should soon be going down, so let's go ahead and take a gander at some of my hand cards...

  • Mix Diskerud may soon have a new team. He'd probably stay with Stabæk if it would help them stay up, but the smart young man also realizes that he's probably the strapped club's most sellable item. As is, I'm told four clubs are duking it out battle royale style at the moment. Gent is not one of these, but they did try to strike a deal for him. Current table-toppers Strømsgodset are in for Mix and he's supposed to train with Rosenborg this week.
  • Let's clean up some stray debris around Alejandro Bedoya and Mo Edu. With the former, Standard Liège is the notable name that had interest and dropped out to go another way. Regarding Edu, I've learned that recently rumoured suitor Valencia were really showing interest, but opted for someone else. Also in my education of late: the Rangers man has already spurned at least four offers (Bursaspor, Evian, Trabzonspor & Valenciennes). Let's hope that all means more attractive digs to come.

And that's all I have to say about that stuff. For now.

Greg, what's with Edu's frequent hits in France and Turkey? Is he particularly smitten with those places or are all of his agent's contacts over there? Frankly, I'm surprised he'd shrug off two offers from Ligue 1, if I get what you're saying. A money thing?

Any odds Bedoya makes a move to MLS?

Thanks for the Mix update, Greg.

Are any of those 4 teams interested in him located outside of Norway? It would be a bummer if he stayed there as I was hoping he would make a big jump about now.

I'm really rooting for him, he seems like a great dude.

@ Unknown: Do remember that teams from France and Turkey have gotten good looks at Mo. Also these are very tactical leagues and his specific skill set is desired there.

None of the Rangers boys will be coming to MLS at this time.

@ heythisisrobbie: Any of the four? Yes.

And yeah, he is top shelf dude. Really.

Thanks for the reply, Greg! Agreed on the leagues. I'm an admirer of both, particularly the Turkish League, though after Istanbul's big three, Bursa, and Trabzon, the competition gets pretty light. Light years more competitive than the SPL, yeah, but I have a feeling he'd develop more in France.

By the way, is that one yank GK still at Evian? Or did he move on?

Quentin Westberg moved on a free to third flight Luzenac.

Greg- DO you get the feeling that Mo is waiting for an offer from the EPL?
