Findley to Gillingham

Robbie Findley is set to begin a one-month loan to Gillingham FC of England's League Two the BBC reports.

After scoring six goals in 27 games last season for Nottingham Forest, the former Real Salt Lake striker is yet to appear for Forest in this year's Championship or any other first-team competition.

It looks like he'll be third-choice at worst for the League Two side on the southern coast of England. Danny Kedwell and Deon Burton are the first-choice pairing so far this season. Kedwell's bagged eight goals in this campaign.

The Gills lead League Two and are already eliminated from the League Cup as well as the Johnstone Paint Trophy. The team has six matches scheduled in the next month starting with Saturday's table-topper away to second-place Port Vale.

Findley met his new teammates for the first time today, according to Gillingham's official site.

Come back to MLS, Findley.

I believe Portland owns his MLS rights. His last season in MLS Findley got 83K in guaranteed compensation per MLSPU. Just some food for thought.

I assume he's still making Nottingham money? That's gotta be more than the $83k he was getting in MLS. I say he should make as much money for as long as he can. The only person who seemed to think he belonged in the US National team was Bob Sr.

On a side note, NASL and USLPro rosters are littered with former League 2 players.
