I'm smelling the same overtly bad formation, and the same line-up except with Michael Parkhurst at left back and Carlos Bocanegra replacing Clarence Goodson in central defense. The latter is fine (it's what I wanted the last game), but the former is making me nervous.
If this fear bears out when the game starts and we are actually rockin' that configuration at home, I will officially start being worried. And this is from someone did not worry once in Game 6 of last year's World Series, nor did I in the recent NLDS game 5 with Washington.
I can't even remember the last time I worried the USMNT could miss a World Cup. Do we need a tactical intervention? Things seemed to be moving along so well, but it's gotten real hairy real fast.

Who would you rather see at LB if Fabian is out. I can't even recall who else we could put back there. Didn't we just spend the last 5 days worrying about how badly Boca got torched at LB?
BTW, you getting officially nervous is really disconcerting.
Parkhurst is perfectly fine, that's what I wanted the last game. It's the vertical spine configuration I'm fearing.
i was less nervous when guatemala scored so early. that was a good wake up call for this team and they responded nicely. ej, what a revelation, he has seen the light, and if he can get just a little better over the next year and a half, wow, wow. he still plays some weak defense, for a left mid, but he can play right mid too. whatever....
i sure hope we can all agree that ej was playing up top in the second half when sacha came on.
down by 2 inn the ninth, one man on, 2 outs, 2 strikes and you weren't worried?
LIAR!!
matt, davey johnson was the manager of the 86 mets, and he is the current manager of the nats, and what comes around goes around. RG3!!!
I wasn't worried. And I am certainly not a liar.
