More USMNT news

The USWNT will have its new coach at the start the new year, with Tom Sermanni coming over from his Australia top post. I would say this guy pretty well overachieved with a middling Matildas squad, thus earning a shot at steering the Rolls Royce roster.

And not placing any judgment, but its worth noting that three straight senior side boss hires have been foreign coaches - trend, fad or happenstance?

I guess if we're going to dither on the topic of domestic coaches, do you know of any to suggest? At least with the men's side of things there's an actual professional league with coaches who are, you know, coaching players at the sport. Perhaps USSF looks at the scenario on the ground here and considers the experience of foreign coaches at the international level as being distinctly more valuable.

jay, greg is not allowed to name names, because someone might misconstrue this to mean he is calling for a coaching change.
