Rock on, lob-ster

Jozy Altidore has just capped a fine AZ move with an equally fine lob finish to pull the visitors level 1-1 at RKC Waalwijk. It was his 17th Eredivisie goal of the season and 24th across all contest.

UPDATE: I'll switch out for a better clip once the Eredivisie highlight show airs.

I see what you did there, with that HED. Nice. Hard to believe the 80s were 30 years ago. I feel old.

Figures. Everybody knows the lob is the laziest form of goal scoring.

That gives him the American abroad record right?

Mikey B said...

Yes it does

How lazy of him...

Yep. Only bothered to score 24 in less than a complete season.

If only the USMNT had some sort of creative midfield type player. I've heard that some countries have something like that sort of player, but can't be sure. You know how Internet rumors are. I've even heard that occasionally teams have speedy flank players that spread the field. Rumor has it that those types of players provide what some people call "service" to the strikers. Can't be sure that's true though.

Piers Morgan at halftime of Tottenham v arsenal should be good.

The comments are punchy today.

I agree, though. I'm not interested in lazy goals. Greg, don't even bother posting a clip.

Well done Jozy. He's a nice skill/power combo. Can't wait to see who buys him this summer. I only hope it's a good situation for him.
