Rogers gives first interviews out

Robbie Rogers has broken his silence about breaking his silence in a pair of talks with The Guardian and The New York Times (video below). Leeds manager Neil Warnock says that the winger didn't need to leave the club to safely come out, but even he admits that some fans would have made it a big issue.

I understand why he is reluctant to play and he owes nothing to anyone. But I really wish he would come back to MLS. It would be a huge statement and a huge corrective to the dying howls of homophobia that are currently in front of the supreme court.

But mostly, I want him to come back because he is an entertaining player.
