Deuce back at it

Tottenham tornado Clint Dempsey temporarily gave the visitors their first lead of the quarterfinal tie with Basel by netting the leg two opener on 23 minutes. It was his ninth goal across all competitions, his fifth career strike in Europa League play and his first in any competition since January.

Feast your eyes on the poor positioning by Basel and the fine pass by Jan Vertonghen. And I will also now boast that I tabbed the former Ajax defender for stardom back when, as a teenager in the reserves, Dutch scribes didn't give him a second thought.

I may have misunderstood your meaning, but I'm pretty sure Deuce has a goal in a US shirt that came in March. It was snowing as I recall.

Sorry, I meant any competition, as in for Spurs. Trying to watch the game and post at the same time. :D
