First off, let me apologize for being so quiet here lately. I promise to make it all up once I get back to home base from Turkey. Now to the main course, Klinsi's 23 for the Gold Cup.
For now, I'm off to the stadium for the Under-20 team's do-or-die match with Ghana, but I will be back later with some thoughts in the comment section. Until then, Have at it, ya vultures!

Jack Mac!
little bit thin at CB.
I think this is when gooch takes his spot back
Happy as I am, this roster is cryin' out for Amobi Okugo.
Am I wrong to think it's nice to have such depth that people are complaining about who was left off rather than who was put in?
That said, why Wondo? If you're calling based on form, Wondo has to be left off.
each team in the gold cup gets four roster changes after the group stages. besler is probably a lock to come in. along with brad evans. maybe coach klinsmann does not take two players from one team, but sounders have the easier july schedule over kc, so maybe both ej and evans get called in, along with besler, that's three, with one more maybe coming in.
la galaxy have the toughest schedule of all in july.
the under 20s need to watch Italy and how they play defense. at the moment of truth is when these young players need to really up their game. usa today in the under 20 were to soft and did not play with urgency in their own third.
Greg, you hear anything about the rumors of Bedoya to FC Twente?

Oh, I have plenty of complaints for who's in. Give me Agudelo, Okugo, and Sheanon Williams for Wondolowski, Bruin, and Beltran any day.
But at least there's no Alan Gordon.
Crossing my fingers Lletget breaks out his year.
rimando
phurst goodson gooch dmb
holden Beckerman
gatt mix ld
gomez
can you feel the competition?
oh yeah, and jack mac will get two goals in his first two games. coming off the bench
Well, time to update Goodson club affilaition...
Clarence Goodson (San Jose Earthquakes).
And shit...
Gatt was pulled out of today's game with knee injury.
that's tough on gatt, must be the scandanavian schedule. he should come play in MLS.
this opens the door to a reunion of sorts, having dmb and ld patrolling the wings. Castillo gets his start at left back and usa probably doesn't miss a thing, but adds a little experience.
this also just moves bedoya and jack mac up the ladder, that's if gatt has an injury that actually sidelines him from the gold cup.
Bedoya is not a winger.
only in Sweden!!!
greg, could we compromise and say ale bedoya is more of a winger than Joshua gatt is a center forward?
Bedoya is in no way a winger. He has been moved to play only the #10 position at Helsingborg this season and is exploding in form right now. Why must we always move players out of their best position? I simply do not understand.
On a positive note, I actually took your suggestion to enjoy a steam in the Turkish bath (hamann) and it was pretty good. Don't think I've ever been in a temperature that hot before.
So, Greg, clicked on the video over on MLS.com. Expected, I don't know, a uniquely skewed soccer video cast, something that reflected the eclecticism hinted at all these years.
But wow. All I can say is cool - that was fun to watch.
I'm actually not sure which video you're referring to - 'lil help.
blogger please!! nice killer crossover though, into a modified salt shaker.
I think he's referring to your "Red Nights" video that is at the top of the page if one follows the mlssoccer.com link under "NSC Friends"
So, yeah, well done. It's nice to see some of your skills.
@ jon: Ohhhhhh, thaaaat one. Heh, that was an experiment we improv-ed in an hour. But thanks, much appreciated. There will be more videos to come.
Oops, I meant to also address that last comment to Tony M. Again, thanks.
Did you know they were doing that? Anyway, my overwhelming impression was "wow, life in Amsterdam is good, isn't it?"
Actually, I did not know they were posting that there. And yeah, this place is a gem.
