Seb the Hammer?

Perhaps this season, so be aware. If I can find video of his encouraging half of work in a friendly win over Colchester last night, I'll post it. But for now, you can read an interview with young playmaker Sebastian Lletget about it over at West Ham's site.

too early for a Cap Him Now post?

Seriously though, having heard his name for years I'm glad he seems to be pushing his way through.

Really hope that he breaks or moves to a lower league where he can play competitions. Best of luck to the guy. What little I've seen of him, he was pretty silky smooth.

Tom. You probably already know this, but west ham is also a London club.

Indeed I do.

Still only 20! And plays a position no other current USMNTer fills. Big time prospect that doesn't get talked about enough

Zach, he was talked about a ton for like 3 years and since hasn't played whatsoever.

Right now fans are sick of hearing his potential without seeing any results.

Greg Seltzer said...

Well, that's just silly.

heythisisrobbie said...

Silly, yes, but it is reality.

Lletget can play. I have been very impressed with him everytime I have seen him. The problem is that has been few and far between. People keep reading all about him and his potential but never see anything. Injuries and illness can be to blame, I know, but to many people he remains an illusion.

Greg Seltzer said...

He hasn't had so much injury troubles. He's just been working his way up the ranks, like most any typical teenage player on a Prem side. Nothing unusual or slow.

Didn't he miss a fair amount of time because of some illness. Mono or something like that? Still, the kid turns 21 in September. How many other 21 year old Americans are fighting for first team minutes in a top European league?

heythisisrobbie said...

Yeah, he had mono.

And I thought he had a knee injury that is still limiting him somewhat right now? I thought I remembered reading he couldn't play a third game in a week because of soreness in a knee.

I could be completely making that up, though, so I apologize if I'm mistaken.

He has all of the tools to succeed. What I was trying to explain above was that he is off many people's radars because of the illness/injury disappointment.

(Excuse my typos, this isn't easy to respond on an iPhone)

Dik, was that sarcasm? 'cause I don't think you come off the way you might think you do.

Tom said...

Hint: two parts crazy, two parts gin, shaken-not stirred.

dikranovich said...

I'm sorry Tom, but how do you think, I think I'm coming off? You were nice enough the other day to explain that Fulham and Tottenham are in the same city.

Jolazo said...

Greg, do you have any inside info on Julian Green and whether we have a shot at him?

He scored 2 goals today for Bayern II

Tom said...

Dik I think you think you show as an enthusiast. Mostly you come off as bizarre. Sorry. Also sorry if your comment this morning was straight and not sarcastic. See how hard tone is on the internet?

dikranovich said...

Welcome to bizarro world Tom . Where everyone is a wanna be enthusiast Some are just more wanna be than others. Some are enthusiastic, some are sarcastic and some are bombastic. I'm like elastic, whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you

Haha, okay. Good deal.

Who the heck is coach klinsmann going to call in? I'm pretty excited to see a Besler, orozco pairing. I think jack Mac might get his chance against Salvador, or maybe he will get sent back to Philly Coach might want to put some speed up top. Ej is called in unless he had some kind of deal with Schmidt. Not to take them for both WCQ and oro.

Ok, it's official. Besler, gonzo, ej and ag(Alan Gordon ). Aka batman. Jack Mac is gone. Damn.....
