The broken clock, still ahead.

Suddenly, in the last half hour, various reports have sprung up to claim that AZ's press officer stated the initial Sunderland offer for Jozy Altidore had been rejected. However, good ol' Earnie Stewart just now informed me that he has yet to respond to the Black Cats about it.

Oi vey. If I ever start to understand people, please slap the mess out of me.

This is my bi-annual comment saying that you need a Twitter account for stuff like this Greg.

Also, love seeing Sky Sports credited with the "advanced discussions" quote.

Why? You can tweet it for me! :D

Yeah, it's been a while since they stole from me. I was starting to feel neglected. But, hey, at the least they yet again got it wrong (made it up?) that Fulham were in the race.

I got to say, my Twitter account really benefits from Greg's refusal to get one.

The only reason I followed Jacob was to see what Greg was posting. (Sorry, Jacob...)

Also, Stoke have apparently signed Marc Muniesa from Barcelona, while (finally) letting Dean Whitehead move on. Does this suggest that Geoff Cameron could (finally) be moving to midfield for Stoke? Any idea what the new season means for him?

Haha, hey man, like I said -- unless you're a really passionate Reading United fan there's only so much in the way of breaking soccer news I'm going to give you right now.
