Goodie Patrol

Let's run through these dryly, as I have a stack of full MLSS reports to get together...

  • I can confirm the report that Charlie Davies is in talks with MLS, and that he would likely be headed to the hometown Revs as replacement for Juan Agudelo.

Solely from using my brains, I think if New England can get that done by Thursday's deadline, it might be easier for Stoke to pry Agudelo away before their summer window closes (as opposed to collecting him when his deal runs out at year's end, which is where they stand now).
  • Expect Alejandro Bedoya to have a new club by some time next week. To get you up to date, he has already rejected offers from Greuther Fürth, Hajduk Split and Randers FC, at the least. He currently is in advanced talks with (in order of their likelihood of capture) a mystery Ligue 1 side, Heerenveen and Swiss traditional power Grasshoppers.

As I told you last time, the FC Twente interest was a long ago thing and all reports him having an offer from and/or ready to sign there were complete bunk.
  • Our man Mo Edu is nearly fit. Once he is, it is possible he remains at Stoke to fight for a place. It is also possible that he heads to France or Turkey on loan. I know what you're thinking, but no, it would not be Bursaspor again.
  • As it turned out, Eugene Starikov completed a season-loan move to Tom Tomsk. I have yet to figure out exactly what happened with the full transfer talks there, but will try to find out.

i think the deal with agudelo is that red bulls still own the lions share of his transfer rights, and any move before the end of his current contract will require a payment to the energy drink company.

Edu should have a better chance to get PT under Hughes.

Yikes, man, the contents of the article are almost shorter than that unnecessarily long url.

Difficult decision for Hertha central defender John Anthony Brooks. The German-American was invited by both U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann as well as the coach of the German Under-21, Horst Hrubesch. Klinsmann's 20-year-old was nominated for the match against Bosnia-Herzegovina on 14 August.

Now moves to the DFB. Germany Under-21 coach Horst Hrubesch wants Brooks for the game on 13 August against France. "Yes, I have talked with Brooks. We have great interest in Brooks' Hrubesch said the "Bild Zeitung" about the native Berliner, who has two nationalities. "Now the decision is up to him," the European champion in 1980 continued: "We are so remained that he was in touch with me. He has not done yet, but maybe he wants to even discuss with his parents - that's normal. But the time is running out, because on Thursday I give the squad known. "

The 20-year-old can follow, however, only an invitation. "I still have not decided," said Brooks. The 20-year-old already has four games for the U.S. Under-20 and one for the DFB U20 disputed. Now that request it both organizations at the same time, he has to make a landmark decision. "Played hard," he would be in the next week but still with no dressing.

Greg, do you know anything about these rumors regarding "serious interest" for Landon from Euro clubs?

Do you think Landon will consider a Euro club outside of Everton?
