We will come out of this group. With Germany.

Things that raise an eyebrow-

Brazil and Argentina get it easy. So do France and Belium (although diversity might also be a factor in that weak group). But FIFA really wants Brazil and Argentina to continue on.

Spain plays the Netherlands in their first game. That this would be a rematch of last time's final rolled very easily and unspuprisingly off the tongue of the presenter. Lookee there, an exciting game in the first week. What ar the odds?

The US and Ghana. Again. There can only be one, eh FIFA?

First thought - Group of Death

Second thought - You know, given how strong we were in CONCACAF qualifying, this is really bad luck. Teams we thoroughly outclassed have substantially easier draws.

Last thought - This is actually doable. We come out and beat Ghana, who is not the same team as years past. Then we stay on point, mark Ronaldo well, and we can get another 3 points. Six points should get us through the group. But if we draw Portugal, it's just about goal differential.

Is it going to be easy? No. But we can make it out of the group and if we do, we will have earned it 100% and grown up as a team.

Hey, it could be worse. Just look at Australia's predicament.

I would love honduras or mexicos draw so what does winning your region get u....not a f??k of whole lot obviously

i would not go calling mexicos draw easy. brasil is as tough as it gets and Croatia is a nasty little opponent. Honduras did get the best draw of the teams from our pot, and USA were almost drawn into that Russia, Belgium group.

maybe we as fans should be of the belief that if we are going to win a world cup, the group stage does not matter so much. I mean, what the point of hanging our hat on quarter finals? is that really any better than not getting out of the group stages? if USA can get out of this group, then they can win a world cup and I think that is the real truth.

it is a tough group, that is no doubt, and USA has history with all of these teams, and in the case of Ghana and Germany, it is about redemption, and with Portugal, it is about keeping their number, which we currently have.

we get out of this group and the path to the semi finals can be very favorable. it basically, through H and then on to E and F, and that avoids the AB debacle and group D, which has three previous winners in it.

What a bunch of cry babies. Oooh we have to play good teams. Guess what it is the world cup. Plus the US can beat all of these teams. It's not a cake walk but we can advance if not win the group.
