Your All-Time USWNT XI

I am thinking there can't be too much beef with this squad, presumably unlike when the man version that comes out today (speaking of that, I will have a pair of themed all-time USMNT XI's at MLSS later). The main gripe will likely be in defense of Hope Solo, but the Brianna Scurry camp also has good support evidence. Perhaps some will find The Bambi Assasin™ appears on such a list too early in her career, but hey, at 24 she already has 44 goals, Olympic gold, World Cup silver and three books for children.

The rest of the world is shaking in their boots at that lineup.

I don't think Scurry was better than Hope Solo, though. I've never seen a female goal keeper do some of the stuff Solo can do.

As much as I love Foudy, I'm not sure she compares favorably to the current crop of midfielders - Boxx, Lloyd, Lindsay, etc.

Scurry was an amazing keeper... I think folks are forgetting how athletic she was. Solo is compelling and also excellent. I could vote for either, but I'd lean Scurry for now. Solo still has time.

I'm glad Scurry made it over Solo. Well deserved!
