We briefly discussed the likelihood Bob Bradley would try to bring some Americans over to Stabæk. Well, I have learned erstwhile L.A. Galaxy midfielder Michael Stephens will be the first, with a week-long trial beginning tomorrow.
An MLSS report will drop later. And I believe there will be more Americans turning up before long, so stay tuned.

I got excited by the title thinking it might be news about Mix.
No soup for me, apparently.
With a nickname like Mix to pun off of? You so crazy, Roooob.
I'd wager Adu could be looking for some winter clothes right about now as well.
Yeah what is adu up to?
I think Adu's career might have run its course. Maybe he'll play a couple more years in MLS, but he's already been a pro for a full decade by now.
Man, I thought Stephens showed some promise. Did he try to catch on elsewhere in MLS at all?
Bradley had always seen potential in Adu, and mentored him while he was on the USMNT. He's only 24 so there's time for redemption.
... Og så det begynner.
There has never been a shortage of teams that would like to have Adu. There is, however, a shortage of teams that are willing or able to meet Adu's salary demands. Based on what I have read about Staebek's financial situation and Norwegian soccer salaries in general, I would say they would have trouble with the "able" part.
I anticipate his salary expectations will become more realistic the longer he is clubless. But that is a good point as to why this hasn't happened yet. Adu may be holding out for "something better" first.
Adu has reportedly been training with Blackpool.
