Juan Direction

Waking up to the Juan Agudelo saga means always having something new to call around about. Today, we have fairly reliable Danish outlet Bold reporting that Europa League knockout participant Esbjerg have entered the fray. As you would expect, I will be making some calls... after I eat. You also get a quote at the end from Agudelo's agent stating that his client already has a running Stoke contract.

Meanwhile, it seems somebody besides those of us in NSC world has finally figure that out. At the very bottom of this Stoke Sentinel article, it is mentioned that the Potters are waiting to announce their Agudelo capture until the loan has a bow on it. Perhaps their reasoning is sound when it comes to the eventual work permit second try, I do not know. I still suspect it is more about controlling the information, something Prem clubs are typically quite persnickety about. The article also refrains from mentioning possible Spanish options to align with my theory that those clubs are now gone.

We shall see all in time, but let us hope they get it sealed soon, so our man Juan can get back to work.

Put down the breakfast burrito and hit the phones, Jack.

Just kidding. This is ridiculous. Can we just have one smoothly transacted semi-high profile transfer around these parts?

P.S. it's 4:30am and I caught this post about 10 minutes after it was posted. I might be addicted to NSC. You're welcome for the traffic.

Dunno about any smoothness. It seems like this winter everything has gone wacky. I really wish I knew what the snag was.

Of course, heavily-monied business interests tend to over-complicate their dealings on purpose.
