A Novel Conclusion

Well, the USWNT certainly wrote an Algrave Cup story we have never seen before. After losing to Sweden in group game #2, the Lady Nats fell short in a rally attempt against Denmark and now playing North Korea in the seventh place match is the only drama remaining.

That means, win or loss, this will be the team's worst ever finish at the tournament. In their 18 previous participations, our girls reached 13 championship finals, winning nine.

Thanks for the story, but USWNT tied Japan in the first game and then lost to Sweden (and Pia) in the 2nd game.

Still a shocker.

Oof. Thanks, that is what I get for doing too many things at once.
